doxa
glory
Say it: DOX-ah (approximate)
δόξα
What it means
Splendor, honor, and the visible presence of God. The angels' "glory" at the birth (2:9, 2:14) becomes the glory of Jesus on the mountain (9:31-32) and again in the future coming (21:27). The root is "to seem," so it can mean reputation, but in the Bible it is the weight and brightness of God.
