arsenokoítēs

one who lies with a male (debated)

Say it: ar-sen-ok-OY-tace (approximate)

ἀρσενοκοίτης

What it means

A rare word that appears first in the New Testament, in 1 Corinthians 6:9 and 1 Timothy 1:10. It is made of two words, "male" and "bed." Its precise meaning is debated: some take it to refer to male same-sex intercourse, perhaps echoing Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13 in Greek, and others to some form of exploitation. Look at the discussion in commentaries.
