harpagmós
something to be seized or exploited
Say it: har-pag-MOS (approximate)
ἁρπαγμός
What it means
A thing grabbed, or a thing clutched or exploited. In 2:6, Christ didn't consider equality with God "a thing to be grasped." Scholars debate whether it means "something to hold on to" or "something to take advantage of," and either way the point is that he did not use his status selfishly. It appears only here.
